The line drawing to the right represents a typical wall detail. It's important that the deck has enough slope to allow water to flow off quickly and not puddle. Under the concrete deck should be a minimum of 4" gravel. This allows for proper drainage under the pad which will reduce the frost heave which typically occurs in the Spring with thawing. Please note that a 12" Coping Stone requires a 10.5" bond beam. Waterline tile will add an additional .5" for a total wall thickness of 11". Our AQ, DQ, GQ, DV, SBN and DBN all sit on an 11" wall.Ā
Please note, this wall detail design has been approved by MarriottĀ®.
